Sound design

One of my growing interests is in sound design and how it intersects between narrative storytelling, science, and audio production. During my undergraduate program I was able to take a class called The Art of Sound, learning about the nature of sound as a medium itself and how it has been historically utilized to augment and reinforce film and television. As someone who produces music, I realized how much of an overlap there was between creating an aural texture for a song and something like building suspense with strings for a horror scene. 

I got to build a soundscape for the horror short film Mazia directed by Seyi K.G, experimenting with different ways to use the guitar and sample. It's something I enjoy doing and definitely want to continue exploring in the future.
